THE CLIENT GUIDE
A little clarity.
A better starting point.
Some questions are worth answering before we meet.
Here are a few of the ones you may be considering.
Do I have to go to court to resolve a dispute?
Not necessarily. Settlement negotiations and mediation may offer a suitable way forward. We consider the circumstances, your objectives and the legal position before recommending negotiation or litigation.
Can you assist with a workplace dispute?
We assist with employment-related matters, including CCMA and bargaining council proceedings and Labour Court litigation. The appropriate forum and procedure depend on the nature of your dispute.
What should I bring to an initial discussion?
A short summary of the issue, relevant correspondence or agreements, and any important deadlines are a useful starting point. Please wait for guidance from the firm before sending confidential documents.
What if my matter is urgent?
Please call the firm directly on +27 79 490 7280 and explain any approaching deadline. We can consider the circumstances and whether urgent legal relief may be appropriate. An online enquiry is not a substitute for time-sensitive advice.
Can you help if a contract is not being honoured?
We assist with contractual interpretation, breach of contract disputes and enforcement. The available remedies depend on the agreement, the facts and the applicable law.
This is general information, not legal advice. Each matter depends on its own facts and applicable South African law.
